The following work party weekends are planned:
29-30 March 2025
November 2025 - date to be confirmed
The schedule for a work party is always interesting and varied but may be subject to last minute changes due to weather conditions.
We meet at the Mt Beauty Parks Victoria office on the Kiewa Valley Highway at Tawonga South on Saturday morning to co-ordinate activities, then leave for the High Plains.
We generally stay in Mt Beauty/Tawonga on the Friday night in accommodation or camping at the Mountain Creek campground. We like to camp ‘up top’ on the Saturday night, often at the Buckety Plain campsite.
What do you need to bring?
Camping equipment to stay overnight
Food and water for the weekend
Strong boots, gaiters for leg protection, warm clothes, wet weather gear
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - while Parks Victoria has a range of PPE for our use, you may wish to bring your own gloves and protective eye ware (safety glasses)
Good humour and lots of enthusiasm
Please email friendsofbogong@gmail.com if you wish to attend the next working party and want more details.
